The Downeast Metro Amateur is one of the premier golf events in Maine. Hosted by Kebo Valley Club and Bangor Municipal Golf Course, the DMA was created with the competitive golfer in mind. Both Facilities have a rich history in competitive golf and this event showcases their decades of experience.
EVENT DETAILS
The Downeast Metro Amateur is a two day individual amateur championship with one round at Kebo Valley and one round at Bangor Municipal. Entry fees are separated as follows: Standard Division player fees are $125.00 and the Senior "Two Way" entry is $150.00.
Closest to the Pin and Gross & Net Skin contests will be held daily at each host course. Only tournament players are eligible to enter. Cost per entry of both contests is $10.00 each day. Entry must be paid in cash. Prizes are awarded by division and are redeemable at the golf course in which the entrant played that particular day.
A & B Flight Range - +5 to 9.0
C & D Flight Range - 9.1 and up

Standard Division
Standard Division players are all entrants not participating in the Junior or Senior portions of the event. These players will be divided into 4 divisions based on their official handicap. These A, B, C, & D players will play for Gross and Net prizes in their respective division. The entry fee for this division is $125.00
Seniors
Players 55 and older, on or before the first round of play, will be eligible to enter a separate Senior Prize pool as well as participating in the Standard Division that corresponds with their HCP. There is no separate senior division, only an additional prize pool. Senior prizes will be awarded for gross and net. The entry fee for this division is $150.00

Bangor Municipal Golf Course is a 27-Hole Championship layout located minutes away from major attractions such as The Bangor Mall, historic downtown Bangor, the Cross Insurance Center, and Hollywood Casino, Bangor Municipal Golf Course is a great golf course for players of all abilities. Bangor Muni has a long standing tradition of hosting great tournaments. In 1978 Bangor hosted the U.S.G.A. Public Links Championship making it the only course in Maine to ever hold a U.S.G.A. Major. It is also home to the Greater Bangor Open, where PGA Tour Major Champions have earned their first victory.
